The production deals with the topic of superstitions and beliefs associated with traditions and customs of different cultures.
“Don't you dare!” resonates in the room, like the intimidating voice of a mother. And then it dissipates as the luring threat disappears. All over the world, as well as in the intimacy of our own home, we fear attracting those unlucky spirits gambling with our fortune through jinxed actions. We hold on to our beliefs: Superstitions are our ultimate defence against unpredictability; an intercultural mythical mechanism to control our future and fight the fictive and real forces that threaten our happiness.
